Hello, can anyone confirm this please....
Can a dreambox/dodgy box or similar free to air satellite receiver work successfully with a 4g broadband dongle? Thanks

    a) probably not unless you can install a driver
    b) 4G isn't Broadband. It's unsuitable for streaming video. It's mobile Internet. Divide speed quoted by number of users connected, then by distance from Mast relative to 200m, squared.
    c) Satellite TV reception doesn't need Internet.

Streaming needs fixed Broadband with decent cap, i.e. UPC.

If you want the Internet on a Satellite box (Or a Cable box on UPC) to get Pay Channels free using Card sharing information, you are a criminal. Under Irish law (and nearly anywhere else) that is THEFT OF SERVICE.

However the service provider (Sky, UPC, Setanta, etc) will use Civil copyright law as penalty is set by jury. On the Criminal law it's a maximum of 6 months jail + €6,000 approx. UPC have had 6 figure awards via civil court for people promoting theft of their service.

    Is 4G not very fast?

I have a fixed line BB speed of 4meg, and a friend has 4G speeds on his mobile phone of 40meg.
