Looks like it won't be on the Sky Irish epg. I asked on the Sky Ireland forum and the response was that there are no plans to add it.

it's yet another reason to ditch sky and get a FTA receiver instead, the amount of channels not on Irish EPG is growing beyond 20 channels at this stage, we pay more for less. Moving away from Sky would only mean on losing out on Sky One, Living and Atlantic. Nearly all other programming is free and available FTA & Online.

with spike tv even more of a reason to get a freesat box to series link breaking bad!

    Damn, that' very disappointing actually.

Bellator MMA being on it is nice. Fairly frustrating now that it isn't coming to us :(

Lets face it you wouldn't be missing out on much. The few shows that would be missed would be cheaper to buy as box sets.

very annoying alright. Im sure Spike TV are unaware that their service is not available in Ireland. I can understand why Channel 5 don't have their channel available here but surely Spike TV being a Viacom channel would make it a different case?

If Viacom or anybody else partner up with Channel 5 for more channels we won't get those channels either. The Irish viewer once again really missing out.

do viacom own channel 5 ?

I emailed CH5 and they said that they only purchase programme rights for the UK. If they were interested, like BBC and CH4, then they could easily work it to appear on the Irish epg!

MTV+1 has now moved from 160 to 270, by the way!

Got Spike on my FTA box but gonna be a bummer if I cannot set series link via my Sky Box since that's the one hooked up to a PVR to get Breaking Bad from the start.

4Music and the other Bauer channels are not blocked by Sky, when these channels changed to FTA Bauer were no longer willing to pay the additional fee to be on the EPG.

None of the channels mentioned (including Spike TV) are actually geoblocked at all (in the way that, for example, the BBC and Channel 4 were prior to going free to air). They just aren't listed on the Sky EPG.

Spike TV is also available on FreeView/Saorview TV's and box's in overspill areas along eastern Leinster and around border counties. Thankfully the signal isn't blocked by Saorview Mux's.
