EVW3226 Bridge mode + Router

    Hey guys.

Bought an Archer C5 router today that has Gigabit internet ports and works in dual band.
I bought it because the EVW3226 has a serious flaw there it caps the speed of 10/100 ethernet devices to 30Mbps and I should be getting 100Mbps.

Put EVW3226 into bridge mode, connected the C5 and ran a speed test. Perfect! Went right back up to ~97Mbps. Excellent stuff.

I had to do some cable tidying then, unplugged C5 from power, moved it around and plugged it back in. Nothing working. If I opened "cmd" and did "IPCONFIG" then the Default Gatway was something weird like 97.87.188.1 where as before I plugged it in it was 192.168.0.1.
Also couldn't log into the Archer C5 anymore.

So then I did this, turned off Archer C5 and left it unplugged for 2 hours. During those 2 hours my EVW3226 was back in router mode.
After the 2 hours I did the same routine again, bridge mode, connect it up. Started working again but my speeds have gone back down to 30Mbps.

I'm losing it here. No idea what the problem this time.

Anyone, have any ideas? It was working during that very, very first test until I had to unplug it again.
I'll leave the C5 off overnight and try the routine again but my motivation has completely drained away. Maybe I need to factory reset it and start again...

    Alrighty, so for anyone wondering.

As it's known, there is a flaw with EVW3226 on older Ethernet devices. It caps the speed.

UPC came out, took me a while to explain this but they replaced it again with a Technicolor TC7200 modem router.

Speeds on that shot back up to 97Mbps. Perfect, huge improvement.

Had to look up the HTML code to turn on bridge mode, hooked in my new Archer router and everything was perfect. My powerline adapter PC is getting ~95Mbps. Every device in the house has pretty much full bar wireless signal and my new router allows 2.4ghz/5ghz dualband so I have my tablet and phone on 5ghz.

    All is finally sorted.

EVW3226 would be a very nice router if they fixed that god damn flaw in it.

Hi ya. How did you get tc7200 into bridge mode? Could you explain please.
I assumed it was not possible so I have been trying everything else. Can't get DDNS works properly form the second router though because it just takes the local ip address from the Techincolor rather then the external ip.
