I thought I'd and see is there a legal route in which I can find who has a hold on a given house. The house is an incomplete build in the last 5/6 years and I can gather some information regarding the location of the house from OSI. Is there anyone I can speak with from a legal perspective to find out who owns the property?

Look up the folio from the digital map on www.landdirect.ie .

Got my hands on the folio number. I'm just wondering what would be the next step in the process. Do I take it up with a Solicitor?

    Why? What are your intentions?
You can get the name and address of the current registered owner yourself as you have the folio.

Leave a note on the door saying you want to buy the house. They will ring you quick enough

Ring the land registry. They will have details of the solicitor that lodged the registration.

    Give them a call.

Hi i'm also interested in abandoned property. I've gathered the folio number of the property. I know the owners names from it. Is there any way to contact them about the property? The folio gives the name of the owner only.

    thanks indeed,
