Wanting to know prices for 120/130digger and lorry hire in foxford county mayo. I have some tidying up to do around my site for building a large garage and thinking of getting it done this summer if the price us OK. I've been quoted from 2nd hand information between 200-500 a day for digger and 400-800 a day for lorry. Seeing as there's a huge difference in price, I thought I'd check on here.

If its around a house just tidy up maybe a 3 ton mini digger and dumper with driver or tractor and trailer.
Why would you need a truck.

6 ton would be the best machine there for that

Probably would be but I know a guy who did a clean up and lawn with a 3 ton and small dumper in a few days
Unless digging out site and doing foundation wouldn't need a 12 or 13 ton digger
I have seen small diggers with driver for 150 to 200 a day a big digger 45 an hour but all depends on size of job

35 an hour for a twelve ton round me( plus vat) make sure it's a good man driving and you'll be grand a lad that does an odd day on one can end up costing you money.

Sorry forgot to mention its for moving hardcore to fill part of my site. 20-30 lorries full and would need a driver to.

35 an hour, is that for digger and lorry or 35 each?

Would agree with that. Had a lad on here a couple of tests ago and he caused more bother than he fixed. In contrast got a pro on after and he would crack an egg top while it was still in the egg cup. A complete pro

Would need 22 ton lorry. 40 is bit pricy TBH.

40 ain't bad for a 12 ton digger with a good driver. I paid a man 35 an hour on a 6 ton but was worth every penny as he flew through the work.

You can save per hour but the job might take longer with ends up being the same thing

Its only dumping and spreading stuff. Don't care if its not perfect TBH. My pigs and chickens will make a job of it anyway once their on it.

Wouldn't know to be honest. Guessing around the 60 euro mark as a 12 ton is usually 45

Yeh a twenty ton. A 12 is anything from 30 on here I used to get one lad at 25 but there were too many hours repairing breaks.
