I'm thinking about getting a marble sink for a downstairs bathroom. This bathroom will be used by nearly everyone coming to the house including kiddies. Anyone have any pros/con's to getting a marble sink?

Depending on the design it could chip easily :-(
Can you post a photo of what you are thinking of?

Marble is a durable stone but it can be stained and corroded by acids. Also it is said that if chipped or stained it can be repaired but i'm not sure who offers this service.
