At moment glas doesnt really suit me due to stocking rate.. Would you destock a bit to get into it with decent payment?Or would you just keep going and ignore glas?

Also thought there was no stocking rate issues. Only for DAS.

If stocking rate is high (or was in 2013?) does it allow you easier access to GLAS (due to some 140kg/Ha limit?)

Is this a maths question - If you join GLAS how much will you get paid vs how much will you have to de-stock by?

To be honest, I would have said if you can get a decant GLAS payment (up to the 5k) for not that much work (such as Perm pasture option if you can qualify) then I would have said that GLAS is the easier option....

If greater than >140kg/HA I think you can enter at tier one if you chose low emission slurry spreading. See specs in link below.

I am doing my plan now and am nearly €4500 for mainly low input perm pasture and WBC. Hard to get that from high stocking rates on a farm my size anyway, depends on your farming enterprise I guess.
