Been looking to upgrade my pebble to an Android Wear device. The Sony Smartwatch 3 appeals to me because of its good battery life and waterproofing.
Where is the best place to buy? Either online or in a shop?

I think the Sony is the cheapest it's ever been on Amazon at the moment, might be a good option.
I wonder would it be worth waiting a tiny bit longer for the apple watch to arrive, it might have an effect on other smart watch prices.

Been using an omate smartwatch for the last year and decided to give Wear a try as it's beginning to look a little more functional lately. Bought a used original LG G on eBay to test the water with, I'll play around with it to see if its usefulness justifies the price of new one. So, to answer the op's question, used on eBay.

I got a used one on eBay. Lots of people buy them on impulse and then see no need so you can easily get barely used ones.

I got a Zenwatch on amazon.fr, quite a good price for what is probably one of the best looking Android Wear watches in the first gen wave. One thing that is worth noting though is that it is not a huge step up from the Pebble - I have both and since the Pebble got Android Wear integration itself the different in functionality isn't huge. In fact I am keeping the Pebble and will use it for fitness stuff - it is so much easier to read in direct sunlight than the Zen.
