How Do I Cancel Social Housing Application?

Does anyone know how i can cancel my application for social housing support in Co.Dublin? I have decided to apply to another county but was told i have to cancel the existing one. Do i need to visit the social council office where i submitted my application? or i can cancel it on phone? or email? Thanks
