Tonight, Ryan Tubridy will be joined by Game of Thrones star, all-round Irish acting hero, Liam Cunningham.

He'll also be chatting to Irish model and singer Nadia Forde, young Dubliner and MMA sensation Nathan Kelly, Shameless actress Tina Malone and there'll also be a panel discussion on Easter 1916.

Providing the music this evening are June Rogers and Mr Paul Brady. Take us to the island please, Paul. TAKE US TO THE ISLAND.

The Late Late Show is on at RTÉ 1 at 9.35pm.

Not holding out too much hope for a good show with that line up. We might all be looking for Paul to take us to the island at 10pm or so, if it is a LLS free zone.

Short show tonight, only on until 11.15, one less slot of fun.

    Pre-recorded too

Someone mentioned to me last night that up until relatively recently, there was no late late show on Good Friday?! Can any late late show buffs confirm this?

So I'm predicting that means either John Bruton or Kevin Myers (or maybe both) will be involved and we'll hear the familiar complaints about how it's terrible to want to commemorate the Rising next year.

That is true. Since 2011, there definitely has been a Late Late Show on Good Friday but am unsure before that year? I don't remember any so maybe not? Always, the Good Friday show has been shorter and pre-recorded and sometimes good and sometimes not.

    June Rogers?

Good Friday is an entirely inappropriate name for today.

There was a one off Good Friday LLS in (I think) 1985, Gay said it was accidentally scheduled (whatever that means).

After that it disappeared again until 2010

Was kind of surprised it was going to be on tonight. They used to take their 'Easter Holidays' once upon a time!

I'm surprised there is a show on tonight at all.. Surely the producers understand that it's impossible to watch Tubridy without alcohol...

I'm sure some of us have an emergency stockpile to get us over until 10.30 tomorrow morning for the resupply. ;)

My young daughter asked me this morning if 'Good Friday' meant that she had to be really good and kind to people all day lol.

If Christ was on the cross and they said to him "Now, King of The Jews.... you can have either a crown of thorns OR a few jokes from June Rogers" ... I'm pretty sure he'd choose the crown of thorns...

And lo, he looked down from the cross and proclaimed:

"That routine hasn't changed since I saw it in Bethlehem. Jesus, this is the worst day ever. And now look, she has me taking my own name in vain. The only way this can be saved is if sometime in the future, chocolate manufacturers can use this as an opportunity to make millions every year for absolutely no real reason."

young Dubliner and MMA sensation Nathan Kelly

He was at that press conference for the Conor McGregor fight during the week.. I'm not sure Conor McGregor is setting the right example OUT of the ring.

That kid trains with SGB , the same team behind McGregor.

Don't see how hes setting a bad example. Looks to me that the kid is full of confidence and every kid needs that.

They still take their Easter Holidays! This show was prerecorded for sure. Tubridy also does similar ones for Christmas if there was a Friday available.

Evening all. I've never seen Star Wars and I've never seen Game of Thrones, but I know this guy from doing a voiceover to the latest butter ad.

    Is that canned applause?

You would think the Late Late show would target the Good Friday show as a chance to be blockbuster in terms of guests. Spend a good bit of the budget for this night seeing as the pubs and clubs are closed.

I dont watch Game Of Thrones either... If it's like "Lord Of The Rings" crossed with anything, then I'm not gonna watch it...

Tubridy introduced Liam Cunningham as being a big player in "middle earth"- wrong fantasy world or is he in Lord of the Rings too?

Only thing it has in common with LOTR is that it's set in various fictitious lands and there are a number of epic battles.

    It's bloody brilliant.

Edit: To be fair, I like LOTR. But I'd probably enjoy GOT more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,554 ✭✭✭CH3OH

That has to be the worst clip ever to grace the LLS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Why are they showing him this clip???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,061 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Oh my God just whack Game of Thrones into Youtube search and throw any old sh1t up, that will do. Embarrassing.
