The big game of the week. Liverpool find themselves 6 points behind the London club so a loss here should be the the final nail in the top 4 coffin for the Liverpudlian team.

Arsenal are in fine form winning an uncountable number of times along with Mr Wenger and Mr Giroud winning manager and player of the month.

The reverse fixture saw Liverpool dominating in a strange game but arsenal found themselves 2-1 and Liverpool a man down, a last minute goal saw Liverpool draw. Liverpool face similar disciplinary problems as they are without their club captain and the man who got the drawing goal after stamping incidents. Also the Liverpool camp seems in disarray after a promising youngster said he'd be flattered with a move to arsenal.

prediction - Easy enough 2-0 win to the gooners.

Orange2 is on GMT (possibly, I get confussed about this sort of thing)

What an horrondous blooper putting the wrong kick off time in the thread title. Shameful.

Anyway arsenal are in fantastic form and we have a terrible record at the emirates. Skrtel is a big loss. I'd be happy with a draw but can't see past a 2 1 arsenal win.

Not many giving Liverpool a chance could be dangerous, Arsenal falling apart tomorrow would be an Arsenal thing to do

A draw would be great as United could go 3rd

With that kick off time of 1:45pm we will miss the 2nd half of the game as tv has to stop live game broadcast at 2:45pm :pac:

Really hoping for a win here tomorrow but I just can't help feeling it's gonna be a draw. No Skrtel or Getrard is a big plus. Sturridge looks like he'll play, hopefully won't have an impact in his first game back from injury.

Convincing home win. Anything else and I'll be surprised

Arsenal win this and they assert themselves strongly over Liverpool.

My heart says Liverpool, my head says Arsenal,

Big plus though with Gerrard not playing.

Home win I reckon. Arsenal playing very well at the moment.

Gerrard isn't the player he was

I think he was referring to the Liverpool side, that its a benefit for liverpool that he's unavailable.

Feel more confident about this game than most here. The challenge seems to suit this liverpool team though hard to see many goals in them . 1-1
    No actually 2-1 to liverpool
    Sterling motm performance !

More than just the moment. If you take out the 1st 8 games, we're top. Only realised this recently and still find it hard to believe!

I'd be disappointed if Arsenal don't win. Liverpool are usually well up for these type of games though and sometimes Arsenal can look like a deer caught in headlights against teams having a good start.

If Lucas ,sturridge and ibe start tomorrow I think we nigh sneaky a win. If the don't it's a 3-1 drubbing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,628 ✭✭✭brevity

Not sure how to call it really. Not confident as a Liverpool fan though.

Only thing I'd be worried about is Monreal having to go up against the likes of sterling, he can get caught out by pace early on in the game and we don't need that.

Otherwise I reckon we're slightly more superior all over the park, 2-1 arsenal

Two fine attacking sides but Arsenal look the more vulnerable defensively, particularly against quick strikers. Away win.

    3-1 Arsenal. Sterling to score.

I wonder if Sterling will get a big welcome!

    We'll save that for August

I can see Liverpool falling apart
NO skrtel no Gerrard no leader
    Three nil at half time
    Game over before it starts

Skrtel is a massive loss to the pool I can't see how you think arsenal look more vulnerable defensively

Barring a mental team selection from Wenger, Arsenal should win this one. I'll go 2-0.

If I was more of a betting man, I'd be backing Arsenal.

Can only see a comfortable and possibly comprehensive home win. Arsenal can switch off for the rest of the season then.

Liverpool are way to big for the win here at 16-5.

Arsenal are favourites, but if Liverpool click up front they can sneak a win.

I'm going for 1-2 result with a sneaky €20 on The Pool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,107 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

I haven't been this negative in a long time. I can't see where a liverpool win is coming from.

    Liverpool win.

Easy win for arsenal here i fear, pools season will pitter out after this:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

$terling,Ballo-telly and the Count to score a hat-trick each.

Liverpool go on to win by a goal.

Sturridges legs are going to shatter in the first 5 mins

*not really, unfortunately can't see us getting much today but still hoping for an unlikely are away win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Two one to the gunners. Although liverpool were really all over us in the game at anfield we're more settled now and at home.

Hoping for giroud to keep up his fine form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,993 ✭✭✭Soups123

A game either team is capable of winning. Huge 6 pointer.

I just think it's too big a game for Liverpool to lose and Arsenal might seek comfort in retaining a 6 pt gap

    2 all

Absolutely buzzing for this match later. Tough to call, but I always have confidence with Arsenal at home. Liverpool have to win this match realistically if they want a chance of top 4, so Arsenal could play on the counter. Liverpool are a team I love Arsenal beating!

I'll go for a 2 1 win for Arsenal, with Liverpool taking the lead before halftime and Arsenal to grab two goals in the last 30 mins!

Liverpool are way to big for the win here at 16-5.

Really? Are Liverpool on a par or better than Arsenal at this point in time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭8-10

I have one of those feelings that this is going to be a cracker of a game. 3-3 with a missed peno

Sometimes its not about which team or horse is best its that the price is just too big to ignore (plenty of gamblers work on that principle)

No Sturridge or Welbeck in the line ups
