    Looking at website http://sxsw.com/ and thinking would love to take a trip over at some point - looks really cool and lots going on ?
    Anyone ever been - is it worth the effort and dare I say the $$$ ?!!

    It's a very corporate event, expensive too. This is from a friend who played it though.

    Was there last year as was in Austin with work was also at South by southwest and that's the corporate event, Austin City limits if you were comparing it to a uk festival would be very much like v festival lots of pop acts and rock acts mixed together, Austin City limits finishes very early each night and everyone goes back into town then, rainy street is a street with all houses converted into pubs it's a great area to go boozing,
