Is this turn legal or illegal ?

Going towards Naas right before the Blessington/Citywest exit there's a small road that joins the N7.

I've seen several cars come out if (that's fine) but occasionally I see a car turn off the N7 and go down it.

    Here is the location:

It's the turn to the left on the google maps link.
There's a speed limit sign on the left hand side of the road once you take the turn so I'm guessing it's expected for traffic to come from that direction.

There's no sign prohibiting the turn before it so am I safe in assuming it can be made?

Just seems like a dangerous turn as it's right before an exit and cars taking the exit might mistake an indicator for this road as an indicator for the exit lane.

I'd say that turn would be lethal in a van. You'd end up sideways on the ground

No sign to say you can't, and its got 100 meter marker signs as you approach it.

That's a nice one, be great incorrectly-spelt crack on a Fireblade.

No signs or road markings prohibiting it. There's also a speed limit sign a few metres in, facing out towards the Naas road. It's a legitimate turn

Thankfully cars also have brake lights :p If cars taking the exit actually obey road markings then it's fine. The slip doesn't start til after the turn, and it's hard shoulder until the turn. If they're stupid enough to undertake someone indicating left then they're a crash waiting to happen
