There was a crime spree on my road some nights ago where some low life robbed some houses and lots of garden sheds. They de glazed one house and got through the window without breaking the alarm window contacts. They tried the same with my house and ruined the outside of the window with the constant chopping at the sides of in an attempt to de glaze it.. Im afraid now they will be back... Can anyone recommend how to re inforce your windows when the window was de glazed on the outside? Thanks

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "de glaze"? Do you mean they tried to remove the glass panel from the window?

Yes some idiot makers of windows allow you to take out the glass from the outside and very easily..

Take the glazing strips out one by one and stick them with silicone or tek7. You can also stick the glass inside with them same. If your using silicone get the clear stuff, so if it gets on the frame it won't mark it.

If I remember correctly some types of silicon can react with the seal on the double glazing. I could be wrong but you should check with a double glazing company before using silicon or Tec 7 just in case.
