Looking for some opinions. Story is.... Started training for Connemara full back in December. Have ran Waterford & Dublin 3•46 and 3•58 respectively that year, and slightly slower for both the year before. Got laid up with some medical.issues (not running related or biomechanical) for 6/7 weeks up to mid March, doing limited and slow mileage (10k/week) during that period.. Back on the road 3 weeks ago, and I've ramped back up to 35k/week with a 20 k long run. I decided to be prudent and register for the half, but I'm back to considering switching to full, and taking it handy and shooting for a 4:20 + time, and just finishing. This is marathon number 5, and I know I'm not fully trained (no real long runs) and yes, it's Connemara..........Mad? Ridiculous? or is my base and low expectations enough to get me by?

Opinion? Stick to your Plan A. It's where you're at. Plenty of opportunities for full maras in the future when you're back in proper shape.
