Gah, forgot to swing by this morning. All the good stuff will be gone. I'll be left looking at that polisher and the car cleaning set - only good for raising blood pressure in the detailing forum.

Those handheld vacs are pretty crap no matter what brand AFAIK.

Probably not a top end oil but if it meets the specs for your vehicle, should be OK
Most likely it's packaged for Lidl by a 'big name' brand without the branding. Having said that, modern engines are picky about oil so while I have used the fully synth in an older car without any problems, I'd be less inclined to put it into a modern engine.

It also works on the chainsaw to lubricate the bar and chain

Previous historical threads have covered this - Pennasol Super Pace or something is possibly the 5w40. A3/B4 BMW LL98 or something like that the last time.

Oh it's Pennzoil, is it? I didn't know that.

No. Unless they are sister companies?

    Not great tbh

Lidl should have brought out the 5w30 grade as that is what is in use in most cars these days. If it is the pennasol then I would have no worries - it meets ACEA spec and should be fine. Even better if they could offer C2/C3 grade for modern diesel engines and A3/A5 for petrols. I would stock up in there myself.

Useful enough if you're polishing your face but for a car, forget it.

Although it's alright to apply a wax but it's cumbersome and you'd have the job done in the same time with an applicator pad.

dont say that, i have my hopes set on a polisher that'll do what i want for the price of a good steak... think im gona take a punt, have a few blemishes that i couldnt fix by hand and cant justify the prices in halfrauds for similar

Those type of polishers won't fix any blemishes.

Any opinions on the tinting film? Is it green black or purple black

Does it have 3 or 5 pieces? Quarterlights..

I had two of them both given to me as gifts. Tried them a few times but tbh they spent most of the time on the shelf as they weren't good for much. They don't turn fast enough to fix any blemishes, they jump more than they osculate and the pad is way too big on them to do much with them other than the bonnet and maybe the roof.

Found it much easier doing it by hand and achieved the same results. My advice is to keep your €17 and put it towards a proper DA polisher that will fix blemishes.

Its a 3 piece set, purple black with squeegee and knife, at a guess its a 20% tint.
It also has the wiggly line and a TUV cert for the German authorities.
I bought a couple of packs as I have an estate which is like a glasshouse in the summer. for 5.99 its a good price
