Hair thinning :(

Hi just wondering if anyone can help me or give me some advice. My hair is extremely thin at the scalp, the root falls flat there is no lift or bounce whatsoever. At the back of my hair where my crease would stop is a patch of very thin hair , actually all the back of my head hair is very thin that you can see my scalp. I cannot leave the house without doing a bit of backcome to make it look fuller. Is there anything I can do to thicken my hair. I know this isn't first world problems but it's seriously depressing me and I feel like my confidence is being sucked outta me.
    Thanks.

Have you seen a doctor about it? Hair loss in women can be from loads of things, i lost loads of hair after pregnancies so there is a hormonal aspect at least.

My hair fell out quite badly a couple of years ago and it turned out I was very anaemic and my thyroid was underactive. Fixed those issues and my hair grew back (slooowly!). I'd recommend you speak to a good doctor, get some blood tests, stock up on healthy food, get some exercise and make sure you're properly hydrated - and remember it can take time. To make it look better in the meantime, maybe your hairdresser can give you a more flattering haircut - more layers etc. I feel for you OP. I know firsthand what it does to your confidence. There are lots of reasons your hair can thin out and recovery can take quite some time.

Well my daughter is 15 months now and I put it down to pregnancy, but it seems to be getting worse as the time goes on. Like when the root comes out it just lies flat on my head. I'm actually thinking of shaving it , I know il get down someday about it again and il snap with the razor! I'm going to search for that hairspray for the meantime. I have an ok healthy diet I am following slimming world that last few months so it's all fruits veg, no oil low fat and sugar. I'm going to make a conscious effort from tomorrow on to start drinking water. Hopefully that will help. I'm planning another baby in a few months and this is putting me off. It's so silly

firstly take a multi vitamin with iron. Sometimes you can be slightly low in iron and it will cause hair issues even if you are not anaemic.

Secondly kelp tablets are amazing for skin and hair I swear by them.

Might be worth getting bloods done as well just to see is anything lacking

There is a Shampoo called a Plantur 39 (another called Plantur 21) it is a caffeine shampoo and works very well I find to reduce fall out and thicken hair.
