I know my Mam will give me an egg or a box of chocolates, even though I'm in my 30s.

My husband buys one for me.

I'll buy one for him, one for my Mam and some for the kids.

What about you guys? Do you buy your own or get them from others as "surprises"?

Do you buy your own Easter Eggs? 12 votes

I bought 30 in Tesco yesterday, the looks I was getting!!

We'll buy one for our son and nieces and nephews, but not each other. I'd say my dad will get me one, I'll give him a bottle of wine.

Anyone else have a dislike for those hollow chocolate eggs? Ye know those little novelty crappy ones that often come with a cup, inferior quality chocolate that can't compete with nestle and Cadburys.

I love seeing those massive kinder eggs though, always brings me back to my childhood.

I'll buy a few for myself on Monday. :pac:

I buy myself chocolate all the time - is this any different? Proabbly get more choc for your euro than with the eggs.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

The idea of me buying an easter egg is nice but when it comes to the crunch the economics means I don't do it. They are horrible value for money, you can get 3/4 multi-packs of chocolate for the price of one egg!

    Buy for myself,

    Eat before Easter,

Get more from family members and girlfriend,

    ???

    Profit

Yup, Lidl and Aldi always have loads left over after Easter and it's all well discounted. Their chocolate is much nicer than the mainstream brands too. I did treat myself to a box of Creme Eggs last week but omg they are nasty now. Really cheap tasting with a very unpleasant aftertaste. I tried the Aldi version and while they aren't a proper Creme Egg, they are at least tasty.

I got an Easter egg from my husband. Usually my parents will buy some for us too, but this year I've asked them not to. There's only so much chocolate I can stomach. My husband prefers white chocolate and it's a bugger to get a decent white chocolate egg, got a Lir one though, not really much choice. What happened to the Chocobloc ones Tesco did last year?
