Glue for castor wheels on heavy object

I want to put castor wheels on a heavy wooden box but dont want to screw the wheels in as I need to do a lot of work to get to the inside of the box to tighten the nut on the other side of the wheel base plate.

Is there a strong glue/resin/sealant that would suffice that someone could suggest?

this type of thing. Its the metal base Im concerned about adhering to the wood.



The terrain the box goes over is usually smooth so although over time one of them may jar loose, I dont mind too much.

Teck 7 and a few short little wood screws is what i would use.

That was certainly my second option and one that's looking likely alright.

OP, you don't need access into the box for screws, you're thinking of nuts & bolts. If the base of the box is sturdy you could use wood screws. Use round-head wood screws in preference to the common flat-head or oval-head countersunk screws.
