    Back cover is loose on the above how much would it cost to repair.

    If you want a specialist to replace it, call Mactivate or somebody similar for a quote. Just click 'Service' on the Apple website link and enter your location. Or you can just do it yourself if you buy the cover. All you need is the correct size screwdriver.

    Silly question but could you not just tighten the screws yourself. My mackbook pro has 8 or 10 phillips head screws on the back cover

    It is not the bottom it is the back with the apple logo, top cover I suppose.
