Sad and strange case of a busker only known as Dave whose body was found over a decade ago.You'd think in this day and age that he could have been identified by dna testing?Also its a bit odd that theres no mention of how the Gardai are treating his death though by the sounds of things its highly likely foul play was…

DNA testing is hardly much use if you've no pre-existing DNA sample or record of that person on file.

Unless he happens to be related to any criminal who's DNA is currently on file, I'm not sure what your expecting? A test was probably done with no match.
