    Hi
Have acquired a site (approx 1acre). Small existing dwelling already on site which am hoping to demolish and building my house at back of site.
Have had various engineers opinions/advice and are Confident we will get planning.
My question is, engineer we are using advised that he is not certified to sign off on course of build.
Am I better of using him and a seperate engineer or just getting someone that can do the planning and sign off on the build??
    PM

Better to get someone who can everything; design, do the planning and sign off on the build. It can be hard and costly to get someone to sign off on someone else's design.

    Thanks Dudda,
Any of the quotes iv had so far the engineering firm have been far more expensive to do everything than been quoted seperate from individuals?
So just unsure which route to take..
These new regs that are in are making it very expensive to get signed off apparently

The problem is the person signing off is taking the risk and responsibility for the project so it's fairly expensive.
