Is psychanalysis recognised by the irish health board?
I would be starting out pretty much fresh. Looking to do a degree in Psychotherapy (or possibly psychology) I've always wondered though what is the difference between a psychotherapist and a psychoanalyst? Apologies, that's probably been asked a few times on here.

The Health Service doesn't actually 'recognise' any particular psychotherapeutic orientations. But this is a dead thread from serveral years ago, so I'm going to close it. So I've started this in a a new thread, realmmafan.
