Dropped out of college - unsure of what to put on my CV

Hi guys. I recently had to drop out of college. I was suffering from anxiety and depression and my doctor gave me a note to take time off while I began anti-depressants, as they take a few weeks to begin working. I then found out that even with the note, I would automatically fail one of my practical classes due to its format (it's continuous assessment). The only choice I would have had was to repeat that one module next year, and only then would I be eligible for year 2, but unfortunately due to low numbers, my current class will be the last class to do this particular course, so there will be no year 2 for me. So anyways, it's time for me to find a job so I need to update my CV. I have no idea what to put down, as I know it looks bad that I didn't complete the course. I also don't particularly want to mention the reason why I missed so much class, but I don't want to leave the time-space blank. Before I started that course in September I did a Level 5 course for a year, but previous to that I was unemployed for a year, so as it is my CV is going to be a bit... crap. Any advise on what to say or not to say would be greatly appreciated!

I had to drop out of college for family and personnel issues myself. I have since gone back and completed my degree (night classes) but while I was searching for jobs I would just put on my CV the course I was doing and the college I attended and for how long I attended. If I was asked a question in an interview about it I just stated I was forced to drop out due to my circumstances and that I had intended on completing my degree in the future. If you do intended on finishing your course then I would just put something similar.
