Can anyone recommend a good laptop in / around the 2K mark?

Was looking at Lenovo Y series, Alienware, Razr etc ... for testing / exams setting up simulated VM environments, setting up networking scenarios using GNS3 etc .... similar to high spec gaming

Does it have to be a Windows machine?

How many and what kind of VMs? I don't believe GNS3 requires much in the way of hardware, but I could be wrong there.

    Thanks Alan,

More than likely be a multi OS system, booting from the SSD drives, GNS takes low memory, but the constructs will be large ALA CCIE setups, and can run slow on Windows ... looking at MSI / AORUS etc ...
