I'm looking at upgrading my roadbike at the moment and would love to buy a Canyon but I'm not sure that you can get one through the BTW scheme. Has anybody managed to do this?

    I did.

There are two addresses to be filled out when ordering, a delivery and billing. You must use your company name for billing. I also had to request an invoice after my ordered was processed. They say they do this anyways but missed mine. The sales contacts at Canyon are very helpful I found.

This will all depend on company policy some companies use schemes that restrict your ability to choose different stores. Some are fixed to Halfords only.!!

If your company will do a bank transfer I'd imagine it would be straight forward.

I also did this. It basically depends on whether your company has someone in accounts/finance who's willing to sort it out for you. If they use one of the third party schemes then you probably won't be able to, but if they deal with shops directly then there's no reason you can't use Canyon. Basically you order the bike and your company pays for it, deducting the money from your salary - the first €1000 before tax and anything over that after tax. To make things easy on our accounts dept, I got the entire amount deducted in one month which saved them setting up a salary sacrifice scheme. It's no more difficult than you going into your LBS, ordering your bike and your employer paying for it.

    Canyon's payment options are either
    • bank transfer - you get an IBAN/BIC code and your company transfers the money to Canyon
    • paypal - if your company has a paypal account (unlikely)
    • credit card - you can use the company credit card to pay Canyon

Thanks, unfortunately I'm dealing with a multi-national who are doing the scheme through this https://www.cyclescheme.ie/partners so it looks like Canyon is off the table.

Yeah, they're a middleman who make their money by taking the cheque from your company and bringing it to the bike shop.
