IBM Warehouse Damastown

Anyone ever work in the IBM warehouse in Damastown?

I might be starting soon and just wondering what the place is like? I know I need safety boots but what other clothing would I need to wear?

I was told by the recruitment agency that I'll be in a manufacturing role, what exactly that entails I haven't yet been informed.

    Anyone any helpful information?

    Thanks.

I worked in one of the buildings but I have been inside the warehouse a few times though. I would have thought the usual boots + snickers originally depending on what kind of role you're given, you should probably ask for a bit more information to be honest. If you have any questions about the complex itself or transport I can answer those for you.

Thanks for the information. And just waiting on the recruitment agency to get back to me with a start date and more information. Any idea which building the warehouse is in? Now I'm sure there is good signage and I'd find it easy enough, just curious to know. I have my bus route made out, just need to be sure if I get the first Dublin bus at lesson street at around 06.10 would I be there for 07.00?

Thanks for the help so far.

There was two buildings that were under renovation as far as I know, the one I know of is building 4 - they'll tell you this and where you're based without a doubt so I wouldn't sweat it. Bus goes right into campus and I'd be confident of a 6.10 departure arriving by 7 easily enough considering the lack of traffic and stopping. There's also a shuttle bus that runs directly from easons on O'Connell Street at 8 and 9 for 3 euro that takes about half an hour if that's of any interest to you - I never used it personally but if you're in a rush and flush with cash it might be worth it.

I did manufacturing in IBM years ago. You'll get safety boots, but then you can wear whatever you want.

If it's the same thing I did, you'll be at a desk putting together servers that arrive down from a conveyor belt
