Mynute 24m gas boiler circulation pump not switching off

    Hi,
I have my heating on a timer, which works fine, the rads come on and off as expected. However, after the heating goes off ie the rads are gone cold, the green light on the boiler keeps flashing and i can hear what i believe to be the circulating pump still operating.
This can stay on all day, when I go out to work in the morning, it may be still on in the evening when i return, it does eventually switch off.
When I last got my boiler serviced, the engineer said that this is normal, that the circulation pump may keep going after the timer has switched off the boiler.
However I think it is getting worse. the heating switched off at 11:30pm last night, it is now almost 5pm and the green light is still flashing and the pump still running. is this normal?

I dont know enough about the boiler you have, But, they generally have an aluminium heat exchanger, which goes cold about 3 seconds after power off.

It is usual in Oil, and older heavy gas boilers to keep the pump running for a while longer as the thermal mass of the boiler retains heat that the system could still make use of.

In modern gas boilers, it just uses your hard earned house heat to keep the boiler warm...

Mynute 24m has a copper heat exchanger

Flashing green light is just signalling its awaiting a call for heat

If the pump keeps running on, it will generally mean a new PCB as the pump over run timer will have malfunctioned, but you will need to have an RGI out to check this for you and replace parts if required.
