    Scrappy start to the game.

Leinster make a mess of their first line out. Denton secures the second one nicely that goes into a good maul and penalty.

Who was Nigel Owens talking to at the start, when he said "How's the old Man? is he well?"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Line speed from Glasgow is impressive. They look very up for it.

Poor call from Owens, the ball was completely out and well beyond the hindmost. Was poor from Glasgow carrier, actually.

Serious lack of work rate at that maul. Token efforts.

Does TG4 stream this? I can only get GAA on their player?

Hogg I think, a few calls may go his way ;)

WTF Jennings. He gave up on that one.

    That's utterly awful defending.

We look like a team that has given up on the season.

Poor from Reddan and Kirchner on Hogg.

To be fair to them, I've given on the season, why should they keep caring

Because they're a professional sports team?

My post was somewhat tongue in cheek.

This guy hit the deck like a sack of potatoes. Completely out of it before he even hit the ground.

Because they're paid professionals. This is their job.

They are actually putting themselves about but it's pathetically disjointed. One player makes a huge play and hit (McCarthy) and the others aren't switched on at all. Suggests a lack of preparation and focus coming onto the field. Our line speed is good but it's useless if it's not done with and structure.

Had a feeling, sorry! First ten minutes and I'm a bit of a grump already...

Their maul bitch slapped us earlier. I'm surprised they didn't go to the corner again.

12 minutes in and we have not had possession beyond their 10m line. You can hear the discontent in the crowd.

    Christ. This is appalling.

What were we doing there? Why did we run at their defense for 3 phases if we were just going to kick it like that.

What happened to the Glasgow player?

    This is shocking sh*t.......awful

    Dreadful discipline from Leinster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Our back line is aligned so poorly. Such massive gaps between the players and no players coming on any sort of angle.

The pack has been even worse. Shocking, in fact.

More or less every league performance has been pathetic since before Christmas. Glasgow are up for it but we've given ourselves a mountain to climb.

We were trying to work some sort of opening. It wasn't happening and we were getting stretched so Reddan made the right call to clear.

Was just thinking this. We went wide and there were like maximum 2 options.

hogg on his own is more attacking threat than the entire leinster backline combined

Work openings with one off runners from standing starts.

That wasn't even a backs move. They just passed it along the line from a scrum and made 50m.

That also wasn't even a sidestep, Zane just didn't tackle him.

2 or 3 chances there had the pass been made.

So, Kirchner or Gopperths fault in missing the very very easy one hit line there on the line? Not sure on first glance if it was the delay in offloading, or Kirchner's line too quickly.

Pile of ****e either way though.

Edit: Replay shows Gopperth just didn't bloody give it, despite all the time in the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Holy sh*t Gopperth. You call the switch and then sh*t yourself. That's bizarre.

Te'o needed to get on the ball there again. We looked like we were in there.

    Try: Butchered. Good job everyone.

Jesus Christ why would they go right there?

Scrum it down and give it to Big Ben on a crash line.

Great hands from Jenno. He owed us that one. Nice from Gopperth too.

Strong carrying from both McFadden and Te'o. We're so f*cked for carriers up front. Conan and Murphy are marked men in the loose these days. They need to find a way to make their carrying effective if they can't just eat up yards.
