I have tax to claim back from Canada for 2014, I was talking to taxback.com who said they could do it for me but im due to return to Canada late April and when I received the forms from Taxback there was a address change request form.Would this affect my SIN number when I go back to work in Canada does anyone know?

I worked in Canada for a summer in 1990 and then for 3.5 years from 2001. My SIN number remained the same. In fact it was way easier in 2001 because I just used the 11 year old SIN number and gave them my new address. Revenue never forget :)

The thing about using services (and I assume taxback.com is one of these) is that they charge you money :-( I found tax reclaiming from Canada simple and straightforward. Fill out the tedious tax return form and they send you money. I will admit that in the cases I did this (for four years) my Canadian income was all of my worldwide income and I didn't have to jump through the hoops of claiming tax credits across two different countries.

Since the taxback is the one gave you the request form, I thinks theyre the only one
who can answer if your SIN number will be affected.
