I can't help but be fascinated at the ultimate mind fcuk of seeing the 21 st century collide with millions of Dark Age subsistence farmers, given how limited their worldview is, I wonder how they would take it if "liberation" ever came

The whole thing just trundles on, easier for some anyways.

Have they reached the point of being so inert/inoculated that freedom/escape is met with "Why would you want to do that", and dissent is non-existent. Seems like the wet dream that Nazi Germany would have dreamed of.

    Thoughts?

It is truly baffling how that state still exists. If only they could find some oil reserves, they'd quickly have some good ole democracy bombed into them, much to everyones relief.

I'd recommend reading 'The Cleanest Race' for a very interesting take on North Korea. Apparently South Korean media has become common in the north, so the government have moved away from proclaiming their economic or military superiority, towards claiming that South Korean superiority is the result of moral degeneracy. .

    N. Korea will will remain as it as long as China allows it to.

It's not in China's interests for them to change right now as they are basically just a Chinese vassal state so unless something dramatic happens in regards to China's political system, I don't see the current North Korean regime having to worry too much about change.
