€319 seems like a very good deal for a native 720p projector with a brightness of 4500 lumens and and good contrast ratio. Runs Android 4.4 so can use Netflix, XBMC etc.

Think I may pull the trigger on this. I would like to hear other peoples opinions of this projector as I'm no expert

Includes 100 inch Screen which will be dead handy. Save having to buy one separately

Also includes 3D glasses, Wireless Mouse, HDMI cable, and flashlight (for some reason)

    1. Customs
    2. Low contrast ratio (wouldn't touch anything less than 200,000:1)

Would you consider a branded second hand PJ instead, I sold my Panny 1080p for around €600 last year which would have destroyed every single spec of this guy.

I think I can avoid customs by getting it shipped with EMS

Since the projector will be used in my living room, there will be some ambient light, so the high lumen output of the projector should make up for the contrast

Yes, I would consider a second hand branded projector too, however €600 is a bit out of my price range

I really wouldn't buy it fella, you will be sorely disappointed with the picture quality. I also reckon it will have a poor fan so it will be really noisy.
Save a little bit more if ya can and get yourself a Optoma HD141X for about €550.

Also EMS is handled by An Post here, I bet my left nut you will get caught by customs.

I've had various projectors for the past 6 years.. it's very much a case of you get what you pay for. You'll need to consider your room, lighting, are you going to get a screen, project on a wall? I wouldn't touch the above. Have a read on the AV forms here or visit AVforums.com, check out http://www.projectorcentral.com/projector-reviews.cfm for reviews..

It'll be mediocre quality and you will get hit for customs, not to mention you effectively have no warranty - all in all I'd consider it a very poor buy.

Don't touch a DLP unless you know for 100% certainty neither you nor your regular viewers suffer from 'rainbow effect'

For screens I got mine from Projectorpoint.co.uk and again there are ones available on adverts, as my PJ is in the sitting room I (she) prefer(s) electric retractable ones that just disappear into the ceiling
