In the system tray of my netbook the icon for the wi-fi connection says that there's no internet service but I'm surfing right now and sending this post.
This is happening since last week.
    What's going on?
    Win 7 starter edition. Thanks!

Common problem on windows 7. Delete your network connections from device manager and restart, windows will re-install devices and 'should' sort this out.

In network connections I see three items:
    -Atheros AR5B95 Wireless Network Adapter
    -Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller
    -Microsoft Virtual miniport WiFi Card
Should I delete all of them? Right click -> Uninstall ?
Are we sure that Windows will re-install them at the next restart? I wouldn't like to find myself without any possibility to communicate my troubles ;)

This has always worked for me in the past. Uninstall the WiFi and Ethernet interfaces. If the 'not connect' icon is just annoying you it can be hidden.

To be safe you could download the interface drivers before attempting.

OK, I downloaded the drivers for the two interfaces, I'm at work at the moment. I'll have a try when I'm back home later in the afternoon.
I'll let you know, thanks so much!
