Kildare to Barrow Street

I was wondering if anyone has experience travelling from Kildare\Newbridge to Barrow Street as a commuter. The last time I worked in town, I used to get the train and then the Luas but that was to College Green and I lived beside the train station.

The train is too expensive and I'm not near a station so I guess the options are:
    • Drive all the way - and find an annual rate parking space
    • Drive to the Red Cow, and then take a Luas and a walk over the river

    Or is there another way?

You could drive to Maynooth, park up and pay Dublin commuter fares direct to Grand Canal Dock.. a simple change to DART at Pearse would do it.

I think the Luas to Spencer Dock would be easier.
