It shouldn't really be a major worry. While China produces a mind boggling amount of counterfeit goods a lot of Chinese actually seek out the genuine article and wouldn't be caught dead with counterfeits.
A company like Pirelli with brand conscious customers should be totally fine.
    Volvo did alright after all.

Not sure that its a done deal either, was reading that the shareholders weren't too happy. With the Euro the way it is, and chinese companies with shed loads of cash, this will become more common.

This might be a more balanced view of the deal to counter the blatant prejudice displayed in the thread title...

If ChemChina can conclude the deal, it plans to take Pirelli private, then relist after four years. The acquisition would give the Chinese company a guidebook on premium tire technologies, and would give Pirelli in-house access to the Chinese market as well as the kind of pocketbook it needs to challenge Michelin, which has 2.5 times the market capitalization, and Continental, which has six times the market cap.

I too think that the quality won't decrease.

There is no reason for them to destroy a perfectly good brand image. They will be able to make a profit without a doubt.
