Proposal - Which Hotel??

    Hi.
Apologies if a similar question to this has been posted before.
    So anyway....
I am planning to propose to my girlfriend at some point over the next 2-3 months.
I have it in my head that we will go out for a nice meal, head back to our hotel for a drink or 2 at the bar & then retire to our room.
My plan would be to have arranged something along the lines of rose petals leading from the door to the bed - with strawberries and champagne laid out and "will you marry me" spelled out on the bed (or maybe I will leave that part out and just ask her without having it spelled out I'm not sure).

Anyway I'm wondering would anybody have a suggestion as to what hotel to do this in? It can be anywhere in the country I don't mind.
I was thinking maybe somewhere in Dublin but again like I said it can be anywhere in the country at all.
Doonbeg Trump hotel was another idea I had but I'm really undecided.
Would there be many hotels that would be willing to arrange the rose petals, strawberries, champagne part for me while we are gone to dinner (as this part would obviously be tricky for me to do without her noticing :-)).

    Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
    Thanks

There's so many options without knowing what type of place she likes here's a few suggestions :

    Brooklodge
    Rathsallagh
    Castle Leslie
    Lough Erne

Any hotel would do that i would say. Look up the blue book. Lots of lovely places around killarney end kenmare too. The Park kenmare would be super fancy.

Or ard na sidhe looks charming.

Is there anywhere she has said she would always like to go to? For example, I got to go to the giant's causeway last year, stayed in the Causeway Hotel, had always wanted to go there!! Or somewhere she went to and loved, and wants to go back to. The extra touch of having thought of somewhere that might mean somewhere to your future fiancee or somewhere that is special to ye as a couple would be appreciated I'm sure.

I second the blue book suggestion. Cromleach lodge, marlfield house or ballyvolane house are some suggestions. Best of luck :)

Doonbeg is lovely. Morrisseys for dinner, walk on/proposal on the beach? Drink at bar etc. Spa booked for the next morning. Sweet.
The twelve in Galway, lovely boutique hotel.

We got married in Belleek Castle in Ballina. Fabulous place, very romantic and the staff there would definitely put the extra mile in if you told them it was a special occasion. Best of luck with the proposal!

We got engaged at the Merrion in Dublin. If you're leaning towards Dublin then I cannot recommend them highly enough. It's also a great location if you want to head out during the day and it's just beside a Michelin star restaurant if I remember correctly...

Slieve Donard in Newcastle Co.Down...spectacular setting and fab hotel. Or Inchydoney, Co.Cork... for the same reasons !!

Ballyfin is probably the most beautiful hotel in Ireland - hotel doesn't really do it justice, but it is fab. Prices are about €1k per night though!!
