Eurosport player - problem

Like many here I subscribe to Eurosport player (for iPad) in order to see cycling.
I let my sub lapse in Sept and renewed recently in time to watch Strade Bianche. Or so I thought.

The new player does not work at all on my ipad. I have tried everything.
I have contacted Eurosport through mail and twitter - customer service will simply not engage at all.

Does anybody else have an issue with Eurosport player and if so has anyone had it resolved successfully.

Also - given that it is a screaming bag of cack is there any alternative where I can get an entire seasons racing coverage.

Ironically what with the player not functioning I watched some races on an illegal feed - guess where the feed was taken from. Naturally I don't want to go down this route again.

If you're a Sky customer you can get it on the Sky Go app.

That's probably no use to you but I posted just in case.....

Can you login to Eurosport via a browser and look at it?

I have two homes and in my principal residence I have it on the TV as part of sky package. In my secondary location I don't have a TV so midweek I like to catch up in races on the player.

Do you know can I use Sky Go app anywhere?

Once you are in UK & Ireland you should be able to.

Caveat, I am not a Sky customer but believe you can uses it anywhere in UK & Irl.

Download it and try - nothing to loose. If you're talking different countries then maybe there's an issue but if it's the same country then surely not.

I haven't used it outside of Ireland where my Sky account is, so I can't say.

EDIT: You don't need a Sky Sports subscription either as it's available on the standard Sky package.

You can only register with Sky Go over 2 devices, that includes laptops, computers, tablets and consoles. They then limit you changing a device it's registered to only once a month so something to bear in mind if you plan on using a number if ways to view it.

If you have Sky Go extra I think they call it you can register more, something like 4 I think.

Having the same issues on IPAD, can watch live footage ok but none of the recorded videos will work. Sent 3 mails and no response.

sometimes if your logged in on two devices it wont work on one on them or if you are logging in on a new device you need to add that device to your list of authorised devices and you have to get onto the player website to do that.

It's no consolation I know, but I've also found their support to be ...underwhelming. After describing in great technical detail the problem I was having, the steps I had taken to try resolve it, the OS, browser, flash versions, etc, they replied with a boilerplate response that didn't even match the right OS.
