    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a budget drill for simple jobs, puttingtogether flat pack furniture, curtain rails etc. Budget would be €30.

    Thanks,

    JD

€30 is a bit of a tight budget for a power tool!

I spent €40 on a hammer drill in IKEA last year, and I'm well impressed for the price.
It's €50 if you don't have a free IKEA family membership, so worth going to the machine first to sign up.

They have a basic drill for €25, but it's basically a jumped up electric screwdriver.
If the quality is similar though, it'll probably be worth the price,

Add the extra tenner! The battery life is decent, and it's got both an SDS chuck and a standard keyless chuck with it.
I'm constantly amazed at what it can cut through on a single charge.

Thanks all, I was looking at both of them, think I will go for the Aldi one as I have a voucher.

    Thanks again

Keep the Aldi receipt, they're good for exchanging anything up to 2 years down the road!
That drill is plenty good for small diy stuff.
    Best of luck with it!
