Hormones vs acupuncture

    Hi all,

Apologies if this is the wrong forum or inappropriate for here.

I'm having abnormalities in my menstrual cycle, I'm in my mid 30's. I figure that if I go to the doctor, they will more than likely prescribe some hormone to try and balance things out again. As far as I understand this may take some experimenting till the right balance is struck and there's something about taking hormones that I'm not completely comfortable with, eg what side effect it may have

I'm also considering tackling this with acupuncture instead. A long and costly process I would imagine.

Any thoughts or advice on this please?

MOD Hi OP, I'm going to lock this thread as it's looking for medical-related advice. Please talk to your GP, they'll be qualified to advise you what treatment to consider.
