Repair or Sell?

    Hope someone here has a view on this

    I have a 2010 A4 saloon with 169000kms. It needs €2500 of work to be done in next few weeks. Flywheel & Clutch, Timing Chain, and some smaller stuff including a scheduled service.
    I do fairly big mileage - about 55000 kms per year (use it for work)

    So I am in two minds about putting any money into it as it will have 200,000 kms up by September and wonder will I find it more difficult to sell it then than I would now.

    Dont really want to put too much to a new car as my mileage is just going to put me back in the same place again. So my view is that I just keep rotating cars every 1-2 years

    Any thoughts?

    I'd get the work done if the car has no other worries, a new flywheel/clutch and timing chain will be alot cheaper than trading the car for another one and the new car will need money spent on maintenance too. I'd also price the work with a few indy garages to see if you can get a lower cost.
