    Is it ok to put a 12v dry battery in a 9v battery fencer?

    The manual should have this info. What make/model is it?
    The manuals are usually available on-line if you don't have it.

    Cheta b40. A good shock on my fence tester is usually 3-4. This is reading 10.

    I did a quick search on line and Cheetah do say to use 9V, so better to stick with that.

    thanks for that pat. Well I can tell ya theres a fair rattle off the 12v battery. Got zapped yesterday and the false teeth flew out.
