Cost of consultant?

I'm a public health patient, and over a year ago was referred to a specialist consultant over a persistent shoulder problem. The appointment is next month, thank god. My question is, as a public health patient who was on a waiting list, do I need to pay the consultant when I go next month? I know that usually an appointment is €200-€250, but does this still apply as a public patient?

As long as you are a public patient seeing the consultant in the public clinic, there is no charge.
