Broken 5 Iron

Howdy folks, As the title suggests; while getting myself out from underneath some trees I followed through too much on the strike and managed to split my 5 Iron clean in half off a tree trunk.

Question is, can this be repaired, and is it any more or less expensive than just buying a new club?

Cleveland 588MT by the way. All standard steel.

    Cheers.

    can be done very easily.
any pro shop or golf shop will do it. Cost around 30/40e

I clipped a branch with my 5 iron and broke the shaft in it last year as well, very minor impact and was surprised it broke. Was €35 to replace it with a similar shaft with local golf shop.

Put a new grip on the the broken half as it will come in useful the next time you are under a tree !!!! I saw a golfer years ago take a tiny club out for this sole purpose .

That sounds like it is worth it, even for comedy value.

I was playing in CillDara with three others that I had just met, sliced a drive, went off and came back with a broken club. I think they thought I was insane.

    Still parred the hole!
