Can't Loosen Kitchen Hose

Im trying to replace our kitchen mixer tap, but I can't seem to turn the compression nut going from the existing hose to the shut off valve. The one going from the valve to the mains will loosen with minimal effort, but the other one going to the tap wont budge (which is the end I want to remove). Am I doing something…
