    Thats an easy calving limo,
its easy for a reason so don`t expect show calves from him ;)

Anyone trying to breed show calves off heifers should have a sharp knife and a needle and thread handy when they're calving. I've used HCA a lot on Limx heifers with very little trouble, never had to use a jack, maybe a small pull with ropes on an odd bull calf. The heifers I used him on wouldn't have had much muscle themselves. He breeds leggy calves with good frame.

Think HCA is coming to an end availability-wise. So you'd want to get on to your tech ASAP. HCA is a fine bull - easy calving with maternal figures. FTY is an option.

When you say a bit muscly... A small live calf is better than a big dead one, some super options with Salers Bulls out there too.

Ya, live ones sell better than dead ones.
I don't buy this whole thing about muscular calves been hard to calve. Look at Achile (AHZ). His calving figures are the same as HCA, but he's in the top 15% of the breed for muscle, unlike HCA which is in the botom 1%. Calves just don't have the muscle when they are born, but develop muscle later.

Yep, but there is none of him left.

    Didn't know AHZ was gone.

The Saler bull RIO, is a safe bet for heifers at 2.4% calving.

Big fan of those Salers myself - easy calving & maternal.

    Rio, Ivan, Eric & Bonaparte.

Daughters will go on to calve anything.
