Anyone driving an Audi A6? I would like to hear some opinions good, bad or indifferent.

Next year I'm hoping to buy an A4 (New model due) or maybe a 151/2 A6 with S-Tronic transmission. Thanks for any insights/critiques.

Great car, fun to drive, plenty of space. Splash out and get the 3.0 BiTdi :).....

FWD ones are a bit vanilla to drive imo. The old 177bhp 2.0 TDi had decent mid range poke but I think this engine has since been replaced in the facelift model with both the new 150bhp and 190bhp 2.0 TDi engine from the Passat. The 3.0 TDi Quattro variants are the pick of the bunch but rare and expensive on these shores.

S Line is more desirable though the ride is a bit hard due to the firm suspension, new Ultra spec looks very nice too.

    My A3 Saloon is a petrol.... 1.4 tfsi 140ps.

If I get a new A4 IN 2016 I'll try for a petrol model too - but I have a feeling any Audi salesman will look at me as if I have two heads - I mean, I haven't seen a new Audi A4 petrol for years. They'll probably talk me into getting a TDI telling me a petrol model will be worthless after two or three years.

Got a Skoda Superb Elegance for the wife a couple of weeks ago. Well worth a look. The Elegance is a lot of car for the money if you can get over the badge.

Does having a petrol Skoda count or am I too poor to be allowed join in?

I love them. My cousin is waiting on his A6 Competition Model to arrive. I can't wait for a drive in it, it's the 3.0 300+ bhp version.

i have the previous model with the 1.9 tdi, remapped to 165bhp. I dont usually keep cars for long times but ive had this as my daily for 6 years now. Previously i had an e39 5 series, Saab 9-5, Alfa 156 & others. The space is a huge advantage with small kids, and the boot is cavernous. Cant fault her on spec either. i have considered changing a couple of times but cant find anything that is equivalent in my eyes. I recon ill have to change her this year as shes approaching a quater of a million miles and it really is getting a bit old. I think genuinely she'll be replaced by another A6, ideally an estate just for convienence.
