Car Body has rust and as you can see, I've put it off for a good while.

The reason I put this job off because it was awkward and to do it right would require to remove the boot door, open or closed its very difficult to do a proper job, and I was feeling abit lazy too.

When I do remove the boot door, I want the right stuff so that the job done sees out the car (old car)

Your advice would be extremely helpful, thanks in advance

It's very hard to see where this is at, do you have a picture from a bit further away?
If this rust has gone under the rubber seal for the window, you're looking at taking the window out, because rust is like an iceberg. Once you see it, there's a lot more you can't. Would be no good just painting over the bit you can see.
In the end, the only way to do it would be to remove everything around it and start sanding and grinding to see the full extend of it.
This looks like a bit of surface rust, so it mightn't be too bad.
