Cow/Heifer Prices

    Looking at purchasing a few calved heifers or 2nd or 3rd lactation cows just wondering what price are they making. Iv been quoted 1600 but that seems expensive.

    nenagh tuesday friend bought 3 calved down heifers 1100-1300

    All depends on quality ,ebi,solids ,disease status etc etc for really good quality stock 1600 could be cheap.show and sale in Nenagh averaged 1800 euro and there was some really high quality stock there

    bought 5 heifers today in fermoy ,1535 average, was runner up on the best heifer at 1980, so it all depends on quality.

    prices seems to be back a bit this week,

    maybe some people got a bit of a wake up call with feb. milk price
