Parkside Ash Vacuum

    Hi!
    We thought we had hit gold when we bought a Parkside Ash Vacuum from Lidl in January 2015 and it actually did what it said on the tin! However it gave up the ghost without warning this week. It has been emptied and we cleaned the filter but I suspect there is a short somewhere or else ash got into the motor. Either way we now have a vacuum that won't work and Lidl have given us short shift as we have lost the receipt! In fact the girl in costumer service (?!) was quite rude.
    I've read lots of threads of people buying these in the past with mixed results so has anyone an suggestions of what we should do?

    No receipt, no joy, I'm afraid. By any chance did you pay by credit card? That might give you a way out.
