Just saw an ad for this.

Option to give your views here: http://www.rte.ie/about/en/serving-our-audience/2015/0306/685100-rte-public-service-statement/

    Some info from the webpage:
The Broadcasting Act 2009 requires that RTÉ prepare a Public Service Statement every five years.

The purpose of the Public Service Statement is to explain to the public what is expected of RTÉ in return for the significant public support it receives in the form of the television licence fee.

The Statement clearly explains RTÉ’s public purpose, the principles it will observe and the activities it will undertake to deliver that public purpose. The last public service statement was published in

The Public Service Statement 2010 is now due for review and RTÉ is seeking your views to inform this review.

To help frame your views, you can read a summary of Article 114 of the Broadcasting Act 2009 (below) which briefly sets out RTÉ’s public service objects. This is important because RTÉ’s public service objects set the legal parameters for the Public Service Statement. You can read brief descriptions of RTÉ’s main services here.

In order to facilitate as many people and opinions as possible, we have provided two different options. Depending on your level of interest and available time to participate, we hope that one of these should suit you. We look forward to receiving your views.

My suggestion, they should get a fiber broadband upgrade so they can show stuff on the player in HD

Actually that goes more for the others and their players, they might not be able able to broadcast in HD becasue of the RTé BS with the transmitters etc etc but nothing stopping them streaming with ads in HD is there????

Simple really, actually provide a public service rather than being a supplier of work for friends and family of those already employed in the organisation. That and supplying real news rather than just a government mouthpiece.

That what you all have said AND stop showing Reeling in the Years re runs, for the millionth time, and expecting the fee for the licence that you expect, and inviting the same Irish z list personalities onto Irish chat shows, boring boring same old shee-ite.

Would someone please provide examples of this "government mouthpiece" thing?
